Post-doctoral Degree in Linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), where she investigated formal and informal inferential processes in Cognitive Semantics and Cognitive Pragmatics models. PhD in Linguistics and Letters by PUCRS (1998), focusing on the semantics of mental representations (Jerry A. Fodor). Master in Linguistics and Letters by PUCRS (1992), dealing with Cognitive Semantics (George Lakoff). Specialization in Linguistics by PUCRS (1987). Graduated in Full Degree in Letters by the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), in 1986. Graduated in Bachelor of Arts by UCS (1984). Currently attending Bachelor of Psychology. Professor at the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS), since 1985, working in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Professor in the Postgraduate Programs in Letters, Culture and Regionality, Academic Master's Degree, (PPGLET) and PhD in Letters, Ampla UCS / UniRitter Association (PDLET). She was Coordinator of PPGLET and PDLET (2011-2013). Advisor for master's dissertations and doctoral theses. Acts, as a teacher and counselor of CBT, in Specializations in Applied Neuroscience Applied to Language and Learning, Bilingual Education for the Deaf, Reading and Textual Production. Researcher since 1995, her ongoing research deals with (a) the representation of urban violence in the Brazilian print media, applying Corpus Linguistics; (b) cultural models that work in networks of concepts in Education, in the interface between Cognitive Linguistics, Applied Neuroscience, Cultural and Cognitive Anthropology. Member of the editorial board of several national and international journals. Areas of specialization: Cognitive Linguistics, Cognitive Pragmatics, Cognitive Sciences, Applied Neuroscience, Natural Language Logic, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language, Cognitive Anthropology and General Semiotics.
